The world of Tablets has started moving quickly. Plastic Logic has announced the fruits of its work with Intel and Queen’s University in the UK – The PaperTab. The flexible (and experimental) e-ink 10.7-inch tablet runs on Intel’s Core i5 processor. Instead of a windowed or multi-tasking interface, you can hook up several apps or windows in a single display. Intel’s Research Scientist, Ryan Brotman, said that the PaperTab project, “…could potentially delight tablet users in the future”. We may not be seeing it in stores immediately. In one use-case, you can have a photo open on one device and a draft email open on the other — tapping the two tablets together will then attach the file. You can also display expansive drawings and images by aligning together several of the tablets.
