Samsung have this morning (1st Feb) teased a new device which may likely be the Galaxy S8.
After such a debacle with the Note 7 four months ago, Samsung are keen to reassure possible buyers that lessons have been learnt from the now infamous issues that caused global alarm.
I refer of course to the battery issue which caused the device under certain circumstances to become suddenly very hot and likely to self combust. There were several reports of damage to personal property – and even personal injury – as the devices could explode while in standby or on charge.
The teased image has a striking resemblance to the teaser image used by Apple recently for the iPhone 7/7+. It is also difficult to see what part of the new device is being shown off. Maybe looking towards the bottom or top of the device. It is unlikely to be a side view as rumour suggests the device will use a new curved display replacing the ‘edge’ design seen in the S6/S7 Edge.
Roll on 26th Feb when we will finally see Samsungs saviour handset.
