I currently use an iPhone 3Gs. My problem at the moment is do I upgrade to the iPhone 4, a platform I know and trust but am a little bored with, or do I move to Windows Phone 7 – a platform which is untested for my own personal needs?
Here is a list of reasons NOT to choose Windows:
- No Flash support (coming soon according to Adobe)
- No Search provider other than Bing
- Currently no WordPress or other Blogging App
- Microsoft credits can’t be used to buy Apps
- No sync option for Outlook (Windows 6.5 and below)
- No cut/copy/paste feature (coming Q1 2011)
- No Google integration
- Microsoft Maps
- Zune instead of iTunes
And now for the good reasons:
- Xbox integration
- Fresh menu structure
- Easy sync for music, video, pictures and apps
- Kick stand
- Flash support coming soon
- Windows Live integration
- Early software version – more to come!
- Prowl client available
- Different to iPhone!
Oh! So many decisions to make! 3 weeks until upgrade time.
